The Scorecard Revolution: Redefining Economic Success is my book that challenges the traditional approach to measuring economic progress. The book argues that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is no longer a sufficient metric to ensure human flourishing and proposes a new way of measuring progress, one that prioritizes well-being and happiness over material wealth. The proposed Holistic Progress Indicator (HPI), which is a regression model, takes into account various factors such as basic services, economic and social policies, environmental sustainability, individual well-being and happiness, inequalities within the country, the dynamic nature of economic growth, cultural factors, and non-marketable goods. By analyzing the state of the world, the book identifies areas where progress has been made, as well as places where there is still room for improvement.
